Every year our biggest crop is jalapeno peppers because we absolutely love them. We end up making most of them into jalapeno poppers. Yesterday we picked 99 super hot, giant red peppers with lots of veins.

My house is very close to the main field in my small town of Dexter Michigan where all the high school football games take place in the fall. I love to listen to the sounds of the game from my back porch. Last night was the homecoming game and despite Dexter High School's lost the Tecumseh it was a fine night for a game.
Despite the cold summer our garden is doing very well. This harvest became enchilada sauce, spaghetti sauce, Gazpacho soup, and got roasted, grilled, stuffed, chopped, blanched and frozen.
